FREE Photoshop Online April 1, 2008
Posted by Michael Stokes in : All Subjects , comments closedOn March 27, Adobe, the maker of the popular photo-editing software Photoshop launched a basic version of the program available free of charge online. Photoshop Express will be completely web-based, so consumers can use it with any type of computer, operating system, and browser. And, once they register, users can get to their accounts from different computers.
After signing up for the free service, users can upload their photos and then edit them with Adobe’s simplified set of point-and-click controls for removing “red eye,” cropping, adjusting the brightness and color saturation, and other functions. Users can group photos into online albums and can post them to popular social-networking sites, all from within the web-based program.
SchoolFinder March 19, 2008
Posted by Michael Stokes in : All Subjects , comments closedHave you discovered SchoolFinder? It is a site featuring some basic information with test scores and the like. SchoolFinder looks to be a ranking of schools and allows you to register and leave comments. I see standardized test scores back to 2004 for our two middle schools. The website is owned by globalscholar.com, an online education company featuring an online tutoring platform that enables students and tutors to connect. SchoolFinder is one of their tools.
Pete’s PowerPoint Station March 4, 2008
Posted by Michael Stokes in : All Subjects , comments closedWhy reinvent the wheel when Pete has already created loads and loads of PowerPoint presentations ready to use? This useful site came to me from Mrs. Linderman at Martha Puckett Middle School. Way to go Dori! The next time you need a PowerPoint presentation be sure and check out what Pete has to offer at Pete’s PowerPoint Station. Oh yeah, he also has games, themes and clip art. Once you have seen all these, there are over 700 more!
typoGenerator December 5, 2007
Posted by Lisa Burkhalter in : All Subjects, Arts , comments closedIt’s not what you might think. If you are like me you create enough typos without any help. This program actually generates a poster with abstract designs from text that is entered. TypoGenerator searches images, Google for the text and creates a background from the found images. Using randomly chosen effects. it places the text using random effects, too.
